2008 Horatio Alger Award Recipients Announced
The Horatio Alger Association is proud to announce the ten remarkable individuals selected as the 2008 recipients of the Horatio Alger Award.

Dennis and Phyllis Washington Give $10 Million for New Graduate Program
The Association is pleased to announce the Washington Family Horatio Alger Scholarship of Excellence program for National Scholar Alumni, provided through a generous $10 million grant from Mr. and Mrs. Dennis R. Washington. The Washington Family Horatio Alger Scholarship of Excellence program will provide financial assistance to National Scholar Alumni pursuing a graduate level education.
New Military Veteran Scholars Announced
The Horatio Alger Association is proud to announce the new recipients of the Military Veterans Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to men and women who have served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan and have a desire to pursue higher education and have a critical financial need who have served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan . Recipients will receive further information about their award via email and post. A list of recipients is available here.
