From award ceremonies and conferences to membership and scholarship announcements- there are notable Horatio Alger events and announcements throughout the year. Each April, the Association holds the Horatio Alger Awards concurrently with the National Scholars Conference. Members, new National Scholars and friends of the Association come together in Washington, D.C. to recognize individuals who have achieved despite adversity and to celebrate the power of education.
